Report from Eldey: After a rainy day, we were very relieved to see that the weather was starting to improve towards the evening. As the rain disappeared, so did many of the clouds and we started seeing the sky, the stars, and even a band of northern lights. The lights were faint in the beginning, but as our eyes adjusted to the darkness and the activity of the auroras grew stronger, we could see the green lights clearly in the sky. The auroras were quite bright and were even moving a bit. Waves of green came and went, but the intervals in which we didn´t see any northern lights were filled with anticipation, excitement about where they would next show up, and in the meantime we also enjoyed seeing the imagine peace tower from up close, listening to music, and drinking a hot chocolate. In the end of the tour, clouds covered the stars and it became difficult to see the northern lights, but overall it was a very pleasant night.
