Report from Eldey: Tonight was very cold, as much as you could expect from a winter night in Iceland. The kp was 2 and the various websites and apps we are using were showing a bit of solar activity during the tour. Unfortunately a thick layer of cloud was hiding the sky and we could not see any northern lights during the tour. We went close to the Imagine Peace Tower that was illuminated today because it is Yoko Ono's birthday. It was very nice to see these powerful blue lightbeams from up close while listening to John Lennon's Imagine song. However, as we saw no northern lights we gave complimentary tickets to our passengers so that everyone has a chance to come back for a new free northern lights cruise in the next two years.
