NORTHERN LIGHT CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Elding: The forecast tonight seemed to be perfect for an excellent northern light tour, a kp on 5, which is very high, a dark night without the moon, and a clear sky. It was not a surprise that many passengers came aboard our vessels tonight. We were lucky to be the first boat leaving the harbour, 20 minutes before 21h. It was during those 20 first minutes that we could observe an arch of northern lights on the left of our boat, in the northwest. As we were getting further away from the city the lights became more visible and beautiful. After those first 20 minutes the lights faded out and were only visible through a camera. We sailed to the north until a very cold wind started picking up so our good captain decided to find shelter behind Videy, an island near Reykjavik. We stayed there, listening music and hoping that the aurora would come back but unfortunately it didn't happen. We came back to the harbour still happy that we had the nice northern lights in the beginning.
