Report from Eldey: What was supposed to be a clear night unfortunately started out as more cloudy than we hoped. The sea was calm so we had a pleasant sail out away from the light pollution, and we waited for the clouds to clear up. After a few drops of rain they did disappear and revealed beautiful stars. The sky was almost completely clear but there was not enough activity to see anything. By the end of the tour, a band of green started appearing in our cameras so we were excited to see the first signs of northern lights. Unfortunately after a couple of minutes the lights got shy and slowly disappeared. The activity stayed low and it was very difficult to observe the northern lights tonight so we gave everyone complimentary tickets to come on another tour and get the opportunity to see stronger auroras in the next two years.
