Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 09:00 & 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

The tour at 13:00 has been cancelled due to bad weather conditions

COVID-19: Keep in mind that passengers and crew are asked to ensure their own hygiene and safety at all times. Washing hands thoroughly with soap and using a hand sanitiser is advised. Masks are mandatory in areas where keeping 1 meter distance from others is not possible.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 9:00

Report from Eldey: Waves were rolling us up and down but without wind we had decent sailing conditions and luckily we didn´t need to go far to find cetaceans. On our search today we got to see an elusive pod of harbour porpoises (3 individuals), only few passengers saw these speedy little guys. It was the white-beaked dolphins that thrilled us all, two pods, one with 6-8 individuals and another of 5. We spent the most time with the first one, they were probably looking for food as sea gulls were folling them. There were calves, juveniles and their adult carers huddled up in a tight pod. We spent about 30 minutes with them before leaving them in peace. Pretty soon we were also delighted by the second pod, the animals were travelling slowly and constantly changing direction and sometimes very close to us. We surfed on the swell home with the beautiful views of the snow capped moutains, a wonderful tour.
