NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 22:00
Report from Elding: It was not the best forecast for tonights northern light cruise but there was a slither of hope that the clouds would part enough to see some green aurora. It was a beautiful night with overcast skies (to begin with) and its always stunning to see the Capitol City at night from the oceans perspective. Another bonus for this evenings tour was the imagine peace tower, alight for one week in March to celebrate Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s wedding anniversary (20th) and then the Spring Equinox. We enjoyed music whilst waiting for the clouds to clear and some informative talk about the lights. At about 10:45 our hopes were answered when the clouds cleared and we could start to see the stars. Now we just needed the northern lights to appear in these large gaps. Unfortunately, there was no activity and thus no northern lights meaning we offered our passengers complimentary tickets to come again anytime in the next two years. Still, a very enjoyable evening tour nonetheless.
