Report from Elding: We sailed our from Hafnafjörður today as it was where the Minke Whale was spotted yesterday and also the sea conditions were a lot better from there. We had high hopes for today due to the amount of birds in the area but unfortunately the Minke Whale was no longer around. So no cetaceans (whales, dolphins, porpoises) today. However, another stunning day to be out at sea with the clear skies, fresh air, snow capped mountain, and the sun setting over Reykjanes Peninsula giving Keilir (mountain) a gorgeous halo.
Birds seen on todays tours included Red brested Mergansers, Eider Ducks, Fulmurs, Glaucous Gulls, Iceland Gulls, kittiwakes, Fulmars, Cormorants, and Shags.
