Report from Elding: The forecast of tonight predicted a high activity in Earth´s magnetic field, but the clouds did not allow us to see the northern lights that were most probably present behind them. We motored out into the bay until we reached Viðey island and had a good view over mount Esja, hoping that the low clouds would clear up but they did not move to form windows to the sky and reveal any green lights unfortunately. We therefore gave everyone complimentary tickets to come on another cruise.
