Report from Eldey: We left the harbour of hope under such nice conditions. It was warm for Icealndic standards with very little wind. Kp index was on 6 which means very high solar activity and there was only a few light high clouds. We had to wait for a while before seeing a few faded northern lights in the north. We waited hoping that they would get stronger but they were only disappearing and coming back very light. We were close to come back when the lights started to be bright painting the sky in a nice green serpent above our heads. They were slowly dancing and expanding everywhere it was breathtaking. After a few minutes they started fading again and we went back home in this beautiful night.
