Report from Eldey: The tour started very promising, with northern lights visible even before we had left the harbour. A green band was present in the sky, but the activity unfortunately decreased after a few minutes. We sailed towards mount Esja to stay sheltered from the wind and hoping to spot more auroras between some light clouds. Although we could see the northern lights faintly through our cameras, to the naked eye they unfortunately remained hidden so we handed out complimentary tickets to all our passengers to give everyone a chance to experience the magical lights for a bit longer.
