Report from Eldey: The weather was perfect for watching northern lights: no wind and mirror like seas, as well as crisp cold air and most importantly, clear skies! The kp index was 2 to 3, so still some solar activity. It took us some time to see the northern lights but we did see them. They started out very faint, almost like a faint green shimmer or thin cloud but our cameras revealed them to us. Their activity picked up and ebbed again. This happened a couple of times until it picked up a bit more and was visible with the naked eye but not entirely green. But then on the way back the lights shown through the clouds. We still handed out complimentary tickets for our passengers to enjoy this natural phenomenon with hopefully stronger activity, and some green showing itself next time. But all in all still a really good night to be out
