NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 22:00
Report from Eldey: With a clear sky above us we sailed into Faxaflói, still feeling a bit of swell from the storm of the past two days. The kp-index was predicted to be moderately high, and we soon received the confirmation that the auroras would indeed be active tonight: some faint green lights appeared onto our camera screens. Although the lights were initially invisible to our eyes, they quickly grew stronger and before we knew it a green arch was filling up part of the sky - how incredible! The shape of the lights shifted throughout the night and we could sometimes even see them dancing above us. This show continued until the end of our trip, with some lights swirling on the horizon getting a bit greener as the time passed. We then headed back to the harbour full of nice memories of this magical evening.
