Report from Eldey: Wow, what a day! not only was the whale watching incredible but the northern lights this evening also. The sky was completely clear and the darkest it could get as the moon was below the horizon and a new moon at that so only 1% was illuminated. We saw the Imagine Peace Tower, planet Jupiter and Mars, many many stars, some shooting and even the milky way could lightly be made out, all this on a still night with no wind and mirror calm waters. If all this was not enough the northern lights were also amazing, a faint green arch to the north that got stronger and stronger and covered more and more sky as the tour went on. It was definitely 3rd time lucky for some of the passengers that came on board for the third time after being offered a complimentary tickets due to no sightings. Their determination really rewarded them this evening. WHAT A DAY!!
