Report from Eldey: Before we sailed out tonight, the magnetic observatory in Leirvogur told us that there was quite a bit of activity, and we could see a clear sky above us so we were hopeful to see the northern lights tonight. The auroras started out very faint and could only be seen on camera but they gradually became stronger and eventually a clear arch and streaks into the sky could be seen in lightgreen. The activity came and went for some time but towards the last part of the tour it decreased again and so we headed back to Reykjavík harbour.
