Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 09:00 and 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: It was very windy this morning, at least 14-16m/s from the East. Even though it was windy there was very little swell as we had a lot of protection from the mountains. We tried to gain as much shelter as possible and went further south. After about 1hour we started to see some life, namely a variety of seabirds. The first encounter of cetaceans was a pod of white-beaked dolphins, we saw quite a lot of these throughout the tour at least 20 individuals but they were all very scattered and surfacing so fast that it was very hard to follow and particularly photograph. Some were even leaping out the waters. Obviously chasing after their breakfast. A couple of the passengers were also liking in the right direction when a minke whale surfaced too, but the whale barely broke the surface. We tried our best nonetheless but we felt sightings could have been netter so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets to return again for free within two years. On the way home we felt the full force of the cold wind but again it was not that rocky. Mostly everyone came into the saloon and warmed up with a nice hot drink.
