NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey:  Strong winds were forecasted this evening which blew the clouds to create openings, as we left the harbour we could see the star constellation Ursa Major and a few other solitary stars. We started the tour as the Imagine Peace Tower to admire the art and give memory to John Lennon, then gained shelter behind Viðey and waited. After about 1 hour of waiting and constantly taking photos of the northern skies we we happy to start seeing a very light green hue far to the north, just above the horizon and only visible through the camera. It was like this for the rest of the evening. Some passengers were able to capture it on their own cameras and devices, other were in disbelief something was there at all. As the lights were impossible to see with the naked eye and only barely visible on the camera, we offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope the activity will be stronger the next time they visit.
