Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

Report from Eldey: We have been so lucky with this incredible December weather lately, today was no different. Little to no wind meant that the sea was like a mirror and with minus degree temperatures and fresh water input we were even getting some slushy ice on the oceans surface allowing for seabirds to rest upon it. The low lying sun and clear skies also created pastel colours throughout most the tour and the, almost, full moon also was beautiful as it started to set behind the Akrafjall mountain. All that alone allowed for an amazing experience and photographic opportunities but we were spoilt also with the wildlife; We encountered at least 7 or 8 different harbour seals, one feeding on a large fish that could be seen in their mouth and another that was super curious and approached our boat within meters. We had a lovely encounter with a minke whale and a more challenging and yet still wonderful viewing of a humpback whale also. Definitely a day to remember.
