Report from Eldey: This evening we had a very clear cold sky again and low kp index. However the previous nights had similar predictions and we ended up having good lights. Hopeful we set sail and soon saw a faint arch towards our front. It was brief but beautiful and while we waited for more northern lights we enjoyed lots of shooting stars and the moon rising. I decided to tempt them out by explaining the science behind them and some myths. To my surprise it worked! Another arch started to build near Esja and there was even faint dancing. This arch then stayed with us for t the rest of the evening and was still visible on the way home.
