Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: Once again we were very lucky with the weather and sailed out on a beautifully calm sea with little wind. As we had seen a humpback whale so close to land we would start there again. Not even twenty minutes later we already spotted our first blow. It was a humpback whale very close to Videy! We watched on as it showed us its fluke and then were joined by a minke whale! We admired both animals and the humpback even did some pectoral slapping. As we were much closer to land than usual, we could see lots of harbour seals and also found a pod of 4 harbour porpoises. These are very small and always feeding so when the sea is so calm its easier to spot them. It was a brief sighting and as the sun was starting to set we turned towards the direction of the harbour. On our way back we once again found our friendly humpback whale which showed us its fluke in front of the sunset. It was a picture perfect end to the tour.
