Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

Report from Eldey: Even for Iceland, today´s winter weather was exceptionally cold. Still, the sun shone and the sky was almost cloudless so it was still a beautiful day. We sailed out into Faxaflói, but soon turned towards mount Esja to explore the area where we had had successful sightings earlier this week. Soon enough, we encountered a humpback whale that was feeding all over the place. He came up all around the boat so we had to run around quite a bit to keep up. Due to the irregular movements we almost doubted whether this was just a single individual or if there was another one... After having spent a long time in this area we ventured a bit further out before heading back to Reykjavík harbour and warming up with our hot chocolates in the warm saloon.
