NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: We have been so lucky lately with these constant clear skies allowing us to venture out in search for the aurora borealis known commonly as the northern lights. It was however bitterly cold due to the stronger winds which made the boat quite rocky until we gained the shelter of the land. It took about 30 mins before we saw any glimpse of the lights and even then it was quite difficult to make out with the naked eye. You really need to know what you´re looking for or else these could be easily mistaken for clouds. The trusty camera will alway confirm what you seeing and yes a faint streak could be seen to the north. This was visible for about 20 minutes before disappearing once more. That was the last we saw of the lights for the rest of the tour but it was still a very beautiful evening under the stars. Complimentary tickets were offered to our passengers to try their luck again hopefully with better results.
Merry Christmas Everyone
