Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: HAPPY New Years!! We started the first tour of 2023 with great but once again cold conditions. We headed out with a boat full of wrapped up passengers. We had already head of a humpback whale close by from another whale watching company and once in the area it really didn’t take us long to find it. A humpback whale that has been feasting on the bounty close to land, just 20mins from the harbour. At first it was difficult to see but soon we were getting a very nice look at this individual with close encounters and many beautiful tail raises. Soon the snow started to fall and visibility was reduced and it just got worse and worse. As more boats came to the area we left to see if anything else was around in the new by area. We had a quick look at the Imagine Peace Tower and close to land a couple of harbour seals and birds. It was great start to the New Years but difficult weather conditions.
