Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey and Hafsulan: The sea was so calm today and it was lovely clear sky. It looked amazing as our two boats headed out into the bay. It was still quite cold but the views make it worth it. We sailed to where we had seen the humpback whale yesterday in search of it once again. There was no whale to be seen here but there were so many grey and harbour seals (at least 10 in total). Some of these seals even climbed up onto the ice so we got a fantastic view of them. One of them couldn't make up its mind and would keep coming onto the ice then back into the sea which was funny to watch. Eldey then headed headed further out to sea in search of cetaceans whilst Hafsulan continued to search closer to land. Eldey saw a blow near another boat, it came from a humpback whale. It then breached! This was so amazing to see, the whole body of this individual flew out the water. It is so special to see this happen. We now watched it surface a lot with some fluke dives too. It even came right up to the boat for us to really enjoy it once again. Hafsulan then ventured over to the humpback whale too to see it too. Both boats got to enjoy really good sightings of the whale. They were both truly amazing tours.
