NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: Before we even started the tour, the Leirvogur magnetic observatory was showing very high aurora activity so we couldn't wait to get away from the city lights on our hunt for the northern lights. We could already start to see shapes in the sky as we sailed out of the harbour, and as we got further away the auroras became brighter and overtook the sky: there were streaks and swirls and arches of green and red everywhere we looked. The auroras gave us a spectacular show, and as they kept moving they never ceased to amaze us with their magic. When we thought we had seen it all, suddenly the lights became even brighter with shades of pink, covering the entire sky around us and dancing fast and gracefully through the sky. A truly unforgettable night that we were very lucky to have experienced on this cold winter's night in Iceland.
