Tonight we are expecting an aurora activity of 2/9, N 5 m/s and -4°C. Moon is currently in Waning Crescent and 25% illuminated. Clear skies are forecasted in the area.

Report from Eldey: The temperature had increased a little this evening, melting a lot of the ice that covered the waters around our boat in the harbour. The wind had also dropped and there was not a cloud in the sky, which all proved to be a very good Oman for this evenings hunt for the northern lights. At first there was no activity but we enjoyed the moonless sky filled with stars and planets. After about 1 and a half hours a faint arch started to appear to the north. It got stronger and stronger and we could clearly see ihe lights with the naked eye. It started to dance and increase in intensity and the faded once more. At this point we decided to slowly head home and once more the aurora intensify. Another incredible evening with the mysterious aurora borealis.
