Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: As we were sailing out of the harbour, the wind was coming from the north East mountains, bringing some cold breeze due to the fresh snow fall. We headed up north first towards Akranes, enjoying the view of the range of mountains, but no sign of whales or dolphins there. We decided to sail down to the south afterwards, hoping for a better luck. We came across few flocks of birds, mainly cormorants, that kept us entertained for a little while as they where flying towards the city, however we did not spot any whales nor dolphins neither, therefore we gave everyone a complementary ticket so they can try best luck next time.

Bird species encountered today include:
Common guillemot, razorbill, Great cormorant, European shag, northern fulmar, glaucous gull, eider duck, black-backed gull, Icelandic gull and northern gannet.
Oh well, it happens - this is nature after all.. But fear not, our promise and your guarantee is that you can join us as many times as needed until you have a successful tour.
