Report from Eldey and Hafusula: This cold evening we sailed out under a starry sky! There was a lot of people so we took two boats as the conditions looked quite good! The kp index was forcast to be a 3, and when we looked up we could see stars everywhere. As we sailed out we were hit by a little bit of swell, but the captains parked us in a sheltered area to wait on the lights. There was no activity all evening, and just as everyone decided to warm up inside, a faint arch appeared above Esja! This arch grew stronger and we were all able to see the lights with out naked eyes! We could watch it for a bit as it grew stronger. We tried to add as much time as we could but eventually ran out of time, perfectly in-sync with the lights that faded too.
