Report from Eldey and Hafsúlan: Tonight we sailed out with a very clear sky and an amazing big full moon. The kp index was predicted to be a four and no clouds. The wind was quite strong but we still had our hopes high. We could see mount Esja perfectly and even the city of Akranes in perfect conditions. After a rough start without seeing any northern lights after nearly 2 hours they finally appeared. They started slighty dim but quickly started to increase in intensity and brightness and gave us as beautiful show in the sky. Eventually we had to start our return to the harbour and at the same time the lights started to fade, looked like they were there just for us, making everyone happy on the boat.
