Today we are scheduled to be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 9:00 and 13:00 Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00
  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

COVID-19: Keep in mind that passengers and crew are asked to ensure their own hygiene and safety at all times. Washing hands thoroughly with soap and using a hand sanitiser is advised.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: Today we sailed trying to find some whales for the passengers. We went to the same place as yesterday since we saw some whales there. After a long ride and some wind we finally found 1 Minke Whale. At the beginning was quite fast and difficult to track but eventually slowed down, making possible too see very well a couple of times and even breached at the end. A very good sighting for a nice tour. We started to head back to the harbour and we saw nothing on the way back unfortunately but still the minke was a very good sighting.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR I 13:00

Report from Eldey: With cold and strong winds coming from the east, we sailed out to look for our favorite animals. After a while, we spotted a blow in the distance and we decided to check it out. Getting closer, we realized we didn't find just one, but 2 humpback whales! They were very synchronized, always coming up to the surface together. We had these whales for ourselves for a long time, watching when them calmly coming up, with a correct breathing pattern of 5 minutes. They were also very unpredictable and fast sometimes, even passing under our boat and popping on the other side! They came closer and we could hear the very loud blow right in front of us! After a while, two more boats came to enjoy these beautiful whales and we decided to give them more space. Our journey home was a bit windy, but the views of the snowy Esja mountain kept us entertained and satisfied for having a lovely afternoon.
