CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: Today we set sail into sunny but cold Faxa floi! After about an hour of sailing we spotted 4 harbour porpoises. These can be tricky to spot but were making cute little splashes. Just after we started spotting blows all around. One on our right, but we decided to head on as there was two flocks of birds up ahead. As we got closer we saw more blows and noticed we were surrounded by humpback whales. All the birds and whales were busy feeding! In total it was hard to count as they moved around a fair bit, but we saw between 6 and 7 humpback whales. In the middle of this feeding frenzy, 1 minke whale popped up as well! There was so much going on with birds and whales all feeding around us. When time was up we headed back to the harbour, still seeing blows on the way back.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We started the tour with a light rain and a completely covered sky. We were quite comfortable as we headed out because we had the wind on our back. It took us some time to spot anything but finally we saw a blow, and then another, and another! They were all humpback whales!! They were feeding all around us. We spent some time with them and when were about to leave we saw a breaching humpback in the distance! We got closer to it and it kept doing it for some time. It also tail slapped and it even showed us it´s pectoral fins! What an amazing sighting. After that, we decided to head back to the harbor with a lot of happy faces onboard. We saw around 5 humpback whales in total.
