Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 17:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

Report from Eldey: We sailed out with choppy seas and what started off as calm wind turned out as bit more stormy than thought. This however did not stop us and our fearless crew from spotting some cetaceans. Our first elusive sneaky whale was a minke whale. This one just surfaced twice and then disappeared into the depths of the ocean. While we were looking for the minke and waiting for it to surface we spotted a blow further away. This meant it was humpback o'clock. This animal was a bit erratic and went left and right and just as we did not expect it it breached riiiight in front of the boat, like 5 meters away from the bow. This brought lots of "Oh's" and "Ah's" from our passengers. Amazing. We followed this individual a bit more until we lost it and spotted another humpback which was probably busy down in the depths so it did only surface shortly and fluke dive often. Then it was time to head home and with the memory of a breaching humpy we all went happily of the boat.
