Report from Eldey: This evening we were quite looking forward to our Northern Lights Cruise. When we checked the kp index was forecast to be a 4 and there were little clouds / high clouds above the area we go to. However if you've travelled a little in Iceland you know that Iceland often does not listen to its own forecast. When we sailed out and were met with thick low clouds but also strong winds so hoped that the clouds would move as the tour went on. In the end they stayed with us during the tour, and we sadly were not able to see any Aurora Borealis. We stopped off at the the Imagine Peace Tower to show everyone some different lights during the tour and enjoyed the city scape reflecting on the ocean. On the way back we handed out complimentary tickets so that everyone can have another chance at coming to see the Northern Lights.
