Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 09:00 and 13:00  Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

Report from Eldey: On this final morning tour of the year we set off as the sun started to creep up behind the mountains near Reykjavik. As we continued out the sky became very orange, it was really beautiful. As we headed out we came across many seabirds including razorbills, guillemots and eider ducks. Seeing all these birds gave us lots of hope to see cetaceans as well. The search for them continued as the sun started to rise but unfortunately this morning they remained elusive. With the sun now out we could also admire the stunning landscape the bay has to offer. Towards the end of the tour we gave out complimentary tickets so hopefully our wonderful passengers can see the cetaceans in the future.

Report from Eldey: The sun continued to strongly shine on our faces, although the cold North winds won this battle since we're nearly in December. We packed ourselves with cozy overalls and sailed out to explore the many areas of Faxaflói bay. Right after we left the harbour, we saw a fast harbour porpoise passing by, that we could see it a couple of times before it disappeared. Continuing our way and going a bit far out in the bay, we saw many flocks of seabirds. That told us the bay was active: loads of food to offer and good chances because of it. We covered many areas, hopeful that we could encounter something else, however we didn't get to see anything. At one point we saw a blow on our right side but nothing came of it. So we decided to give out complimentary tickets to the passengers have another change of coming back and getting to see our favorite animals!
