Report from Hafsulan: this morning we set sail with calm seas and not much wind, most of the guests were enjoying the sail and the views on the outside decks. We saw a lot of puffins flying around straight out of the harbor and they stayed with us for the whole trip. We kept sailing in search of whales and after a while we saw the first blow - humpback whale! We slowly approached closer and could see the whale lunge feeding multiple times, bringing whole mouth out of the water and catching the fish. After a while, we kept sailing, looking for more animals, not to disturb the same whale for too long. Soon after we saw a body coming out of the water - minke whale! We were able to see it a few times until, out of nowhere another humpback whale appeared.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 1300
Report from Hafsulan: As we sailed out this afternoon it had started to snow which when combined with the strong winds made for an eventful few hours. After a great morning we headed to the same area again and just before we got to our expected destination a blow appeared in front of us. It was a minke whale which then came up so close to us. We could even see the white armbands on it's pectoral fins through the water. This whale then surfaced again quite a bit further away so we decided to carry on and we saw 10-15 Northern gannets all plunge diving. Then right in the middle of this a bigger blow appeared, this time it was a humpback whale. It was lunge feeding! We saw it come up a few times and go for some fluke dives. Then beside another flock of feeding birds another blow appeared and then another, it was a pair of humpbacks. This pair gave us the most amazing show as the swam right next to us for a long time. As they were surfacing so close whenever they did this it would start to smell of the fish they had been eating. At one point the pair became a trio. It was so cool. On our way back we even then saw a 4th humpback just to top it off.
