CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsula: What a beautiful silky calm ocean we sailed out onto this morning. We set sail at 9 with beautiful mountains and no wind on the way out. Only 15min after sailing we spotted 3 harbour porpoises. These are cute little cetaceans and though a little elusive, we did see them a few times before heading onwards. Not long after we spotted a minke whale! We tried to see it closer but it was on its own jruney so we continued with ours. When we got nice and far out we spotted a blow and a large black back in the distance. This mystery animal didn't show itself again but we did spot another minke whale much closer. This minke was also a bit on the elusive side so we headed onwards once more. After some more searching we found a pod of 3-4 white beaked dolphins! These beautiful animals were just enjoying their travel and swimming around us. As the ocean was extremely calm and it was easy to spot them. In the same spot we spotted another (!!) minke and then another one, making it a total of 5-6 minkes during the trip. Sadly we did run out of time and had to start back towards harbour. We did make another stop at the dolphins one more time, and this time they came much closer than before and we could watch them through the water as well - a wonderful way to end the trip.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsula: We set off into a smooth and windless ocean. After only 15 minutes we spotted our first minke whale. This set the tone for the rest of the trip as we spotted no less than 5 individuals of this species in total. Despite minkes being quite elusive we were able to stay with some of them for quite some time and get a really good look at them. One of them was surfacing multiple times quite near us so that was really exciting! After a smooth and fun trip we started running out of time and had to head back into to the harbour. On our way back we were however treated to two pods of harbour porpoises, totaling about 7-8 individuals of this species in total, which made for a nice conclusion of our afternoon adventure!
