CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Hafsulan: We sailed out the bay in this sunny but cold morning to find our first whales of the day. Quite soon we encounter 3 minke whales, who showed up really close to us but quickly went away. As we saw some more activity further out the bay, we continued heading West, encountering another set of minke whales. Later, a pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins joined us for a while, giving everyone the chance to see their characteristic colors. Heading back home, we crossed paths with our first minke friends, who were feeding alongside several plunging Northern gannets.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Hafsula: We set off under some grey clouds this afternoon. The wind had also picked up quite a lot creating some whitecaps and some bigger waves. We headed to the area where we saw cetaceans this morning. We came across a huge flock of feeding birds including Northern gannets plunge diving and Arctic skuas. We then carried on and spotted a small blow, it was from an elusive minke whale. It came up a few times but very randomly making it hard to track so we carried on. We then spotted some splashes in the distance. It was from some exciting white beaked dolphins! They calmed down as we approached them and surfaced fairly regularly giving us a good look at them. There was 5 indiviudals in the pod including a really cute calf. After a good sighting with them we carried on and the wind had increased again. A few passengers then started to feel the swell a bit but we still carried on. As we got closer to the harbour the rain started to thrash down and we decided to give out complimentary tickets so our passengers could come back again as the minke was quite hard to see and due to the swell sometimes it was a bit harder to see the dolphins.
