Today we will be operating our Classic Whale Watching on our lovely vessel Hafsúlan at 9:00 and 13:00. Our Premium Whale Watching departure times are 10:00, 11:00, 14:00 and 15:00

Report from Hafsula: We set off this morning on pretty calm seas giving us great hope of a good tour as it would normally make it easier to then spot any cetaceans. As we got further out we saw many birds but they were all fairly inactive, only resting on the surface. Then 3-4 harbour porpoises appeared at our front. They surfaced quite a lot as they swam around to our left hand side. This gave those people who stayed out in the rain a good look at them. We then heard whispers of a whale but it seemed to be taking very long dives so we didn´t manage to get a look at it. So we carried on still searching but unfortunately no cetaceans appeared. Therefore, we gave out complimentary tickets so our passengers can come back and hopefully be a bit luckier.

Report from Hafsula: This afternoon we sailed out into a grey moody bay, the ocean had calmed a lot and we were excited for adventure. After 40min of sailing we spotted a minke whale! This was an elusive creature so we decided to head onwards. We spotted two more on the way but wanted to get further out! After a bit more searching we finally saw a big blow on the horizon - this belonged to a humpback whale! This was a friendly individual, who came quite close to the boat and just as time was up showed us its gorgeous fluke! With everyone happy and satisfied we went home!
