Report from Elding: We set off under some blue skies excited for the morning ahead. On our way out from the harbour we passed between the lovely islands of Akurey and Engey giving us a look at some of the puffins living here. As we started to get further out we could feel the strong wind which also meant there was quite a bit of swell. We headed south to search for the cetaceans whilst also trying to hide a bit from the swell. On our journey down here we got a really good look at the Reykjanes peninsula as well as the many Arctic terns flying around. As we then turned back in the direction of the harbour the waves calmed down. When we got closer back we heard rumours there may be a cetacean near us but unfortunately this never appeared. So we gave out complimentary tickets so our passengers can come back again, hopefully with some better luck to find the beautiful animals this bay has to offer.
