CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 0900
Report from Eldey: After a great few days we were eager to get out again. The difference was today there were very strong winds with many whitecaps on the surface of the ocean. Once again though we headed to near Hvalfjörður. Here we came across an abundance of wildlife including Northern gannets and Northern fulmars. But more interestingly for our whale watching passengers we also saw 3-4 humpback whales and 1 minke whale! To start with we saw 2 different blows but focused on one. This whale surfaced quite a few times and then we spotted another blow. This next whale ended up swimming alongside the entirety of our boat giving us an incredible look at it's body. It then fluke dived really near us. We then also saw the minke come up a couple times. Whilst we were with this we saw the blow of another humpback. We then headed back into the sun which was very nice after a great start to the day.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 11:00
Report from Hafsulan: Sailing out this late morning, we all got surprised by the heavy Northern wind. As we went around the bay as far as we could, following the trails and sightings of the last few days, we hoped to keep our nice streak of tours with a least a sighting. Sadly, scanning the coastline thoroughly, all we had to enjoy were several Northern gannets plunge diving, normally a helpful sight which was today uneventful. We ended giving out complimentary tickets to all, hoping they would come again for a better time.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: On our 1300 pm tour we had pretty choppy sea and strong winds, but on Eldey it was still nice. We didn't have to go out very far when we first encountered 2 harbour porpoises, following the boat. They surfaced a few times and then disappeared. Not long after we saw a blow not far from us. It was a Humpback Whale, but not just a Humpback, it was Davy Jones! We know him from previous years. He was really nice to see, he surfaced and fluked a few times. After a while we left him to himself and were looking for another one. We were lucky, we found a second humpback whale and watched him, but he was very shy and we couldn't see much of it. So we went on and tried to find something else. But we couldn't find a third Humpback, so we were left with the nice memories of Davy Jones.
