Report from Eldey: This halloween morning we sailed into Faxafloi eager to see what was in store for us. We started near the harbour as this was where we were successful the day before. We slowly cruised along Videy but only had birds keeping us company. We then tried another area and and had a surprise minke whale pop up directly next to us! This one only came up once and then vanished so we continued on. We quickly spotted a blow near the same area, this was a very elusive humpback whale. This individual was quite tricky, coming up irregualry and traveling further out into the bay. We then decided to continue on the other side of Videy and spotted 8 harbour porpoises in little pods of 2! One pod was even riding our wake! And then spotted by our first officer another minke whale! This one was much friendlier coming us regularly and even lunge-feeding twice! We stayed as long as we could always enjoying our new minke friend but when time was up, had to head back to harbour.
