CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report for Eldey: Such a great tour. We sailed under calm seas in Faxafloi bay with our first encounter close to shore giving as excitement for the day ahead. A humpback whale right at the beginning of our tour. Far in the distance more than one blow caught our eye and we didn´t resist and when straight to the open waters. On our way we came across 2 minke whales that we stayed with them briefly. The blows were indeed from not one but 3 humpback whales. Unforgettable moments from the gigantic mother and her calf cruising and logging together with another individual. Letting us speechless with there beautiful flukes and enormous size. Not far way from them 2 more humpback whales cruising and rolling and pectoral flapping giving us a great show!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING l 11:00
Report from Elding: We went out to sea against a stiff breeze from the south west. After some time we spotted the blow of a whale against the horizon. As we got closer we saw that it was a humpback whale that was traveling in a northern direction. We spend quite some time with the animal and it showed us its immense size and grace with several nice fluke dives. Shortly before we had to make our way back to the harbor a single illusive minke whale passed by us and vanished quickly after it surfaced two times near the boat. Despite the waves, or maybe due to them, we had a great tour on the north Atlantic.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR l 13:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out with a slight drizzle of rain, but this did not stop our happy spirits. After a while we spotted a blow in the distance and headed closer. On the way a minke whale cruised by on our left hand side. However, this was just a short surface sequence so we continued towards our target. Once at the place it happened to be 1 humpback whale. We stayed with this individual for a little bit but carried on our journey to find a more curious individual. After a bit we had a big splash in the distance on the left of the boat and we went straight there. This was a breaching humpback whale. When we got there it also started to do peduncle throws which truly amazed the passengers. There were also two minke whales passing by during this encounter. As more boats approached, we left the humpback whale to start our journey back to the harbour. However, this plan did not last for too long as two more humpback whales came up too close to ignore. They were traveling together and were accompanied by 6 white beaked dolphins. They were most likely feeding all together. As we left the whales the dolphins continued to swim with us in front of the boat which was very lovely. We had many more spouts in the distance, and more minke whales, but we simply did not have any time to explore them. As we headed back, the sun was shining on us. A wonderful end to our tour.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR l 15:00
Report from Elding: this afternoon the sun started to shine, even though we still had some swell and we got some splashes on the front. But off we went, dressing our overalls and ready to see some whales! Seeing many puffins on the way, it took us about 40 minutes until we saw our first blow in the distance. It was a humpback whale, beautifully going for a deep dive and showing the tail. It was close enough so we could hear its blow every time it would come up! Also, this whale was pooping a lot, constantly, it was very interesting to watch because whales are true fertilizers! It disappeared for a while, until all of a sudden, it popped up few meters away from our boat! Fantastic! Glad that we were travelling very slowly, because this one just caught us by surprise. We could also see some other blows (and even a big splash) in the distance, so we went to check it out and we found one more humpback, that showed up a couple of times before it disappeared. On the way back, it was not bumpy anymore and the wind was very weak, so we enjoyed outside, happy after our sightings coming back home.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR l 1700
Report from Eldey : We sailed out under cloudy skies and calm seas with direction towards the open waters. On our way to our first blows we briefly spotted 2 minke whales. When we reached our destination we remained on neutral until our humpback whale breached studently filling us with exactment. The show continued with multiple breaches. After our whale got tired we contined our way towards 2 more blows that we could see les that a mile distance. It was the enormous mother humpback whale with its calf. We stayed with them for couple of dives and continued our search. Not long after we found another humpback whale that was breaching and tail slapping letting us speechless by the power and size of it.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 20:30
Report from Elding: This evening we set off under a beautiful sunset sky, scattered with light clouds and no rain. The sea was wavy, adding some excitement to the trip. It took a while to spot the first whales, but patience paid off. We stopped in an area with around 15 humpback whales, showing various behaviors. Some of them were even breaching, tail slapping and doing peduncle throws. However, most of them were having dinner. Minke whales also made occasional appearances throughout the tour. As we were running out of time, we had to return to port, wrapping up a memorable evening with nature at its finest.
