Report from Eldey: Tonight we sailed out under clear skies, with stars shining bright above us. Bundled up in overalls we were out gazing on deck - and right from the start, faint auroras started appearing in the sky above. The auroras disappeared quite quickly, so we continued sailing. Then, a bright green stipe appeared behind Esja - More auroras! As the night continued several green bands appeared in the sky, some faint and others bright. Just when we turned back towards the harbour, shapes and colours started to intensify, and we even could see some purple hues - what a glorious sight to end this memorable evening!
