CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: This morning we sailed under sunny skies with a bit of swell we decided to stay a bit closer to shore and search the bay. Just as we left we spotted a minke whale! We watched the whale circling in the water close to our boat giving us a chance to have a good look at this minke! We then decided to continue our searched and not long after spotted another minke whale swimming around! Probably feeding as our fish finder was giving us a strong signal! we sailed around trying to find anything else but eventually our time was running out and we had to go back to the harbour.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: One thing was clear when we set sail out of the harbour this afternoon: winter is coming. Fresh hail covered the decks, and the air was crisp with cold. But none of those have ever stopped us, and it certainly didn't today! Our first encounter was with a playful pod of 2-3 white-beaked dolphins who leapt into the air, wowing passengers! Then, we continued on to find our second species, a lone humpback whale! As we approached from a distance, the whale pec-slapped and dove. Then, suddenly, it surfaced right in front of us, almost touching the boat! It swam underneath us and around us curiously, all while a lone minke whale was peeking out here and there during the encounter. Then, we headed back to land, enjoying some well needed hot chocolate after this cool encounter!
