CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Hafsúlan: It was a cold an windy morning, but clear and dry as we went out to sea. We went around the islands and soon fond a pair of humpback whales between the islands. They were traveling slow and we got a good look at them. Also a speedy minke whale was spotted in the distance. After a few graceful fluke dives, we went on to see what else to find. As we rounded Viðey we spotted another minke whale. This time closer to the boat, we were able to follow him around the bay on our way back to the harbor and get a glimpse of this fast whale . A cold but wonderful morning out on the bay.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR l 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: We were met with a cold Icelandic breeze as we made our way past the harbour walls this afternoon. It didn't take long until we spotted our first species: two humpback whales swimming peacefully side by side! It was the same pair we have been watching for some days now, hanging out close to the islands near Reykjavík. As we were admiring their beauty, one of them began tail throwing and tail slapping repeatedly, leaving passengers awestruck at their power. After this amazing show, we left the humpbacks behind and found a lone minke whale cruising past! We tracked this minke briefly before it disappeared beneath the waves. On the way back to the harbour, the humpbacks made a surprise appearance to end the tour!
