Report from Hafsulan: This evening we were expecting an activity of Kp2 and completely clear skies. With many layers, a hot chocolate, and excitement, we headed out on our quest to see the lights. First we took a sail and were able to enjoy some of the city lights before heading to admire the Imagine Peace tower. With the clear skies this evening it looked as if the tower lights were endlessly shooting into the night. We then sailed on into darkness, and awaited the lights. The stars were twinkling and we could see the snow caps on Esja mountain. As we were admiring Esja, above the mountain a faint band started to appear! With your camera you could see the northern lights, and the band kept getting brighter. After a little bit they went away, and we started to sail home. But just when we thought that was it, again they appeared, this time displaying a green that you could see with the naked eye! They even started to dance! After a beautiful display, it was time to head back. What a magical evening.
