Report from Hafsulan: The Northern Lights were out already as we left the harbor and we were able to enjoy them during the whole tour. Sometimes as bright ribbons above the mountains and sometimes just as fade green haze in the sky, but always amazing. The cold clear air allowed for a great view of the city lights and the Imagine Peace Tower as well and on the way back we warmed up with some nice hot chocolate.

Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
