• CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Today's whale watching tour from Reykjavík is on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

Report from Eldey: Today our tour started with a very non-Icelandic day with an amazing low sun and barely any wind. About 20 minutes after we'd left the harbour, 2 blows from 2 humpback whales were seen near Viðey. As we got closer they fluke dived and went down but we were sure that it was Banana and Radar still together. The pair stayed under for 5 minutes before coming back up for a breath. They did this for another half an hour before we ventured a little bit further our into the bay. However, the conditions were not favourable and we turned around to check them whales again. We were very lucky to see them alone as they approached us and everybody could all the details because we were super close to them. Two beautiful fluke dives later and we left them behind. There was another humpback spotted in the distance but unfortunately it never came up again when we got there.+
