• CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Today's whale watching tour from Reykjavík is on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

Report from Eldey: We went out to sea with a strong wind blowing from the south east. With it came quite some rain, but at least it was not to cold. So we sailed around the island where we had the luck to find the whales during recent days. As they are free to go where probably somewhere out at sea. We came across a grey seal and a harbor seal the were chasing fish in the bay and plenty of seabirds joined their feast. We were able to spot some elusive harbor porpoises on our way out but were not able to get a better look at them as they vanished between the waves. Also we got a glimpse at 3 white-beaked dolphins further out, but they also disappeared after a few short breaths on the surface. So we offered our guests complementary tickets to come out with us another time in search of the whales of Faxaflói.
