- CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: With a bit of drizzle and consistent wind, we layered up and headed out into the bay, excited to see who would greet us this Christmas Eve! After a little search around the island of Engey, we got word over the radio that another boat had spotted something. We sailed over and saw 2 humpback whales! It was the same pair that have been hanging around the islands for the last month or two - Banana and Radar. We were able to watch them for a while and they treated us to many fluke dives against the backdrop of the Reykjavik skyline. A few times they appeared right next to us as well! We then searched around for other animals, but couldn't find anything else. After these wonderful Christmas presents, we unfortunately had to go back to the harbour.
