CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Eldey: Today we had a lot of sun on out tour! Although the wind was a bit strong, this didn't make anyone to stay inside! To top deck was full of eager eyes, and together with the crew, we were ready to spot anything! We went for a little sail out, but we had to turn around because we spotted 2 blows in the directions of the harbour again! There were 2 humpback whales swimming side-by-side in between the harbour and Engey island! They were Banana and its friend, as we could identify with the specific markings on its fluke! They were both very calm and not spending too long under the surface at all! We approached slowly and they came closer. We could hear their blows and see the bumps on their rostrums! Such a cool sighting. We then went for a sail, admiring Esja Mountain and its beautiful colour when the sun started to set and the big flocks of great cormorants! We then came back to the other side of Engey and the same humpbacks were still there! We took a quick look at them before we started our way to the harbour. What a lovely tour!
